Background to the introduction

■Joint development with JAL and UCHINO

In order to reduce the stress of long-distance flights and provide a flight filled with new experiences, JAL decided to introduce relaxing wear exclusively for business class for the first time. The concept was "A new business class you'll want to wear forever." The two companies jointly developed the wear, paying attention to details such as materials and design, so that passengers could enjoy relaxing service in a stress-free space.

■High-performance material "Airy Touch®" that enhances relaxation and allows you to recover from quality sleep

To ensure a comfortable fit, UCHINO selected "Airy Touch®," a material often used in baby products, bathrobes, and towels, from among the many patented materials it owns. "Airy Touch®" is an ultra-thin towel material made by weaving the pile as short as possible. It is thin, light, and soft, and is also excellent in heat retention, water absorption, and breathability. Because the fabric is thin and light, it reduces stiffness when worn and maintains a comfortable environment inside the garment, supporting a good night's sleep on the plane.

■Easy to put on and take off design

As passengers may wish to change clothes in their seats, the robes are designed to be pullover-style, making them easy to put on and take off.
