Stress-free clothing made from patented material now available in business class on JAL's new flagship aircraft!

Jointly developed JAL's first relaxation wear for international business class, helping to reduce stress on long-distance flights and improve the quality of sleep.

Uchino Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Uchino Nobuyuki), which proposes a healthy and comfortable lifestyle from bath time to good night's sleep, is pleased to announce that its relaxation wear, made from high-performance materials that are light and soft, and have a good balance of absorbency and heat retention, ensuring high-quality sleep and recovery, will be available in business class on JAL's new flagship aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000.
The stress-free relaxation wear, designed in collaboration between UCHINO and JAL, is scheduled to be available on the first flight of the Haneda-New York route(※1) on Wednesday, January 24th.

(※1) Available only on A350-1000 operated flights.

Background to the introduction of relaxation wear exclusively for business class

Stress caused by limited space and time difference is a major issue on long-distance flights. In order to solve this issue from the customer's perspective and provide a flight filled with new experiences, we decided to introduce relaxing wear, focusing on providing a stress-free space and service, based on the concept of "A new business class you'll want to stay in forever."

■High-performance material "Airy Touch®" that enhances relaxation and allows you to recover from quality sleep

To ensure a comfortable fit, UCHINO selected "Airy Touch®" from among its many patented materials, which is often used in baby products, bathrobes, towels, etc. "Airy Touch®" is an ultra-thin towel material woven with extremely short pile, and is characterized by its thinness, lightness, softness, excellent heat retention, water absorption, and breathability. Because the fabric is thin and light, it reduces stiffness when worn and maintains a comfortable environment inside the garment, supporting a good night's sleep on the plane.

■Easy to put on and take off design

Anticipating customers who want to get changed in their seats, the jackets have been designed as pullover robes that are easy to put on and take off, and one size fits all will be available at all seats.
