Maison & Objet is the world's leading interior design trade fair, held every January and September in Paris, France. It is one of the three major fairs, alongside the Milan Salone and the Cologne Furniture Fair, and is a highly-anticipated trade fair that provides information on future trends, focusing on furniture and home goods.
Only carefully selected exhibitors are allowed to participate, and as the trade fair is held in France, a leading country in global design, it is a major event that attracts attention from the fashion industry.
What's New?
Cutting-edge items that are likely to become trends this season were evaluated from the perspectives of "UTOPIA NOW/insatiable spirit of inquiry," "KALEIDO-SCOPE/creative and attractive products like a kaleidoscope," and "COLOR POWER/the power of color," and were exhibited in a special space.
WHAT'S NEW selected products
▼Crepe Gauze® clothing
Crepe Gauze® is a revolutionary material that has been patented in nine countries, both domestically and internationally, and was born from our unique technology, pursuing lightness, softness, and functionality. It is made of 9% cotton and has excellent water absorption, and is highly breathable, so it does not get stuffy. The unevenness of the fabric reduces the area that comes into contact with the skin, making it a revolutionary material that keeps you comfortable even when you sweat.
Its cool feel makes it a popular material, especially for summer use, and it's also lightweight and folds up compactly, making it convenient for travel.
▼Wine-dyed organic gauze (top/wine-dyed, middle/coffee-dyed, bottom/tea-dyed)
Based on the theme of "creative and sustainable living" that finds value in everything, we used wine pomace, which would normally be thrown away, as a dye. This is a Japanese-made towel made of 100% organic cotton, dyed with the natural and beautiful pigments of the material itself on a double-faced gauze and pile fabric that is popular overseas. It has been certified as "Class I," the strictest standard of the international safety standard OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, and is a product that pursues safety and security in every respect.
100% cotton patented material (partial)
We believe that the best texture and quality come from carefully selected raw materials and manufacturing methods. We spin the best yarn from carefully selected cotton, and are extremely particular about weaving, dyeing, and finishing, and are constantly developing materials and products that are in tune with the times.
For our 25th time exhibiting, we focused on the keywords "Technology," "Ecology," and "Luxury" and promoted products made from 100% cotton and highly functional materials that are suited to a comfortable lifestyle.
▼Marshmallow Gauze®
~An incredibly light and soft gauze material with excellent heat retention, breathability, and water absorption~
The front and back of the gauze are made of soft, non-twisted yarns and loosely twisted yarns, with strong twisted yarns in the middle, and the gauze is woven in three or more layers. The combination of low-twist and twisted yarns achieves both a soft feel and strength, and the material is highly versatile, with excellent heat retention, breathability, and moisture absorption.
Suitable items: pajamas, loungewear, pillowcases, baby products, scarves, eye masks, etc.
▼Marshmallow gauze & pile®
~An amazingly light and soft material that combines the breathability of gauze with the warmth of pile~
This unprecedented, light and soft double-face gauze and pile towel combines gauze woven from soft, low-twist yarn with ultra-fine, non-twisted pile yarn that is less than half the thickness of regular towels on both sides. Both the pile and gauze sides are soft and have excellent heat retention and water absorption properties, making this material suitable for products for people with sensitive skin, including baby products.
Suitable items: Bathrobes, baby products, towels, throws, etc.
▼Crepe Gauze®
- Gauze with excellent breathability and a smooth feel and a refreshing sensation on the skin -
This multi-woven gauze material has a smooth and comfortable feel, with different tension between the surface and middle layers of fabric, and a natural crepe-like shrinkage on the surface. It is highly breathable, so it does not get stuffy, and the unevenness of the fabric surface reduces the area that comes into contact with the skin, so it feels smooth even when you sweat, making it the perfect material for spring and summer wear.
Suitable items: pajamas, loungewear, throws, etc.
▼Air Waffle®
~ A waffle-weave material woven with airy yarn that is light, soft, and comfortable to wipe with ~
A light and soft waffle-weave towel material woven only with special hollow yarns that have large gaps in the yarn. Because the yarns contain a lot of air, they are incredibly light and soft, and because the contact area with the skin is small, they feel dry and comfortable even when they absorb moisture. They can be folded compactly, making them easy to carry.
Suitable items: towels, bathrobes, throws
Developing the European market
Developing the European market Since establishing a representative office in 1988, we have focused on developing the market with Paris as our base. In 2007, we exhibited for the first time at Heimtextil, one of the world's largest home textile trade fairs, which led to the start of business with Le Bon Marché, a long-established luxury department store in Paris. In 2008, we exhibited for the first time at Maison & Objet, held in Paris. Until the COVID-31 pandemic hit, we exhibited at the same fair every year, continuing to develop sales channels, and currently offer products that match the needs of each country in XNUMX countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.
<Awards>
In 2009, we received the Les Decouverts Award at Maison & Objet, the world's largest interior and miscellaneous goods trade fair, known for its strict screening process for exhibitors. The Les Decouverts Award is a prestigious award given to companies that are recognized by a jury of professional journalists for the quality, creativity, and innovation of their products, as well as for their excellent future potential.
