We aim to create an environment where everyone can feel a sense of purpose in the organization and perform to the best of their ability by respecting each individual's values ​​and individuality and supporting each other.

Diversity is not simply a difference, but a force that generates new ideas and innovation. UCHINO strives to create a workplace where people of various backgrounds, including gender, age, nationality, culture, and lifestyle, can thrive, and contribute to the realization of inclusive and diverse values ​​throughout society.

Promoting social contribution activities

We focus on various issues in daily life and continue to work to "connect hearts" through support activities.

UCHINO values ​​being close to people's lives through its products and delivering peace of mind and comfort. This philosophy is reflected in its social contribution activities, and the company continues to undertake the following initiatives.

1. Support for cancer patients

Since 2009, we have been working with the Iwate Hospice Association to produce and donate towel hats for patients suffering from hair loss as a side effect of anti-cancer drugs. In 2013, we jointly developed a hat using "marshmallow gauze," which is gentle on the skin. We continue to donate a portion of the sales of this product as support funds and provide ongoing support to patients and their families.

② Support for disaster-stricken areas

We donate towels and other daily necessities to areas affected by earthquakes, heavy rains, etc. We work with local businesses and organizations to provide support tailored to the situation, creating actions that provide emotional support.

3) Support for student-led volunteer activities

We support volunteer activities undertaken independently by students, such as repairing homes in developing countries and supporting children's dreams through sports. We support the challenges of young people who will lead the future and continue to work to spread smiles throughout society.

4. Support for little babies (low birth weight babies)

In response to the current situation where approximately one in ten babies is born with low birth weight, we have partnered with the general incorporated association Kurumu to deliver marshmallow gauze products to medical institutions and local governments. We support the creation of an environment where all babies, who represent the future, can be blessed and spend time with their families with smiles on their faces.

Our desire to "deliver comfort" goes beyond just product manufacturing. Through activities that connect people and support the future, we will contribute to the realization of a richer and more kind society.

UCHINO Sustainability Project

This is an internal cross-departmental project brought together by volunteer members who work across departmental boundaries. Based on our corporate vision of "delivering beauty, health, and relaxation to people around the world through high-quality products and services, including cotton materials that are gentle on the environment, people, and skin, and contributing to a stress-free society," we plan and implement specific measures to reduce environmental impact and contribute to society. Utilizing each member's area of ​​expertise, we aim to create new value from diverse perspectives.
