My name is Takanobu Uchino, and I have been appointed as the fourth president of our company.

I took over from the previous president, who developed an innovative gauze material and expanded the business from our original towel manufacturing business to proposing a lifestyle to people around the world with a wide range of products that bring comfort to their lives, including pajamas, relaxation wear, bathrobes, baby products, throws, pillowcases, and underwear.

The direction I am aiming for in taking up my position at the company is to strengthen and expand the foundation that the previous president built, and to evolve into a customer-oriented company that provides high-quality wellness experiences centered on beauty, health, and relaxation globally. Wellness is a concept that was proposed in the United States in 1960 to distinguish it from traditional health, and it does not simply consider health in terms of whether or not you are sick, but represents a proactive way of life that aims for a more vibrant life.

The comfortable in-clothing environment and relaxing effect that are the characteristics of gauze materials such as our Marshmallow Gauze® lead to good sleep and skin care, and have a positive effect on beauty and health. We are confident that using our products will help improve wellness, but unfortunately they are still not well known. I believe that my mission is to let as many people as possible know about the benefits of our products and to deliver high-quality wellness experiences to people around the world.

In 2027, we will celebrate our 80th anniversary. While we treasure our valued customers who have used our products for many years, we will also focus on creating attractive products and stores that can meet the expectations of new customers.
